Material handler

Job summary:

Reporting to the Senior Operations and Logistics Manager, the Logistics Clerk performs shipping related duties. Using a forklift, the employee prepares the various orders and must ensure that the trucks are ready to leave. They are also responsible for tying up the trips and putting on the tarps. The work is done both indoors and outdoors.

Responsabilities:

• Using a scanner, select the products that make up each order from their respective locations;
• Load, unload and secure items onto trailers and dryboxes;
• Handle rolls and bundles of shingles (approximately 80lbs);
• Examine and verify items, note missing items and retain damaged items;
• Verify quantities and nature of products shipped;
• Perform assembly of orders onto pallets;
• Any other related duties.

Training:

• Possess valid forklift operator's cards;
• Possess a high school diploma (DES);
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position.
