Electromechanic

Summary of duties:

Reporting to the maintenance foreman, the electromechanic is responsible for all tasks related to the control, installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of production machines made up of mechanical, hydraulic and other parts.

Responsibilities :

• Follow-up, cleaning, repair or replacement of urgent or non-urgent defective elements;
• Implement more efficient devices to increase machine efficiency and longevity;
• Minimize production stoppages caused by breakdowns;
• Ensure that all activities related to the daily operation of equipment and machinery are carried out safely and efficiently;
• Perform various other tasks related to plumbing and welding;
• Follow up with supervisor on inventory of materials needed for repairs;
• Advise or guide people in solving problems, give advice, instructions or technical tips;
• Set up and monitor preventive maintenance;
• Operate forklift trucks as required;
• All other related tasks.

Required training :

• Professional diploma (DEP) in electromechanics or industrial mechanics;
• C license (an asset);
• One year's experience in a similar field (an asset);
• Possess forklift driving cards (an asset).
